Born May 18, 1972 in Sacramento, California .

Lives and works in San Francisco, California .

I've always been drawn to mystery and myth. I am interested in exploring the connections of events of the past with the present. My work also deals with issues of cultural and ethnic identity, the fragility of memory, and the dynamics of human relationships.

I come from a line of d.i.y. fanatics, and am an obesessive nostalgic, thus I prefer to use mainly traditional materials such as oils, inks and graphite.

In my work I employ a personal lexicon of symbolism pulled from catholic iconography, family mythology, rock and roll memorabilia, and underground comic books. I use narrative allegory to learn more about myself and the world around me. However, I want the viewer to develop their own narrative allegories for my work, interpretations that are meaningful to them.
