In this project students developed their colored pencil technique and understanding of color theory. Students started by selecting a fruit or vegetable to draw from life. They rendered the object as realistically as possible with a limited analogous color palette (colors very close to each other on the color wheel). Students then made a second drawing using a complementary analogous palette (those on the opposite side of the color wheel) and conceptually transformed the original obejct into something new.
